Cookies with an Accent was started by Yuliya and Taylor whom both share a passion for the food industry. ” We are not trying to reinvent an iconic American dessert. We challenge ourselves to make it the best possible by using only organic, locally-sourced, and high-quality ingredients. We make everything by hand, including cinnamon chips for our Cinnamon Roll cookies, almond brittle for Butter Almond Crunch ice cream, oreo wafers for Cookies and Cream. This way, we know only the finest ingredients are used. We strongly believe that better ingredients lay the foundation for unique textures and bright flavors of our ice cream and cookies.”
When it comes to their ice cream, they source their dairy products from Homestead Creamery in Wirtz, VA. The milk from Homestead Creamery is grass-fed, and hormone and antibiotic-free.
When I first heard about Cookies with an Accent, I knew we had to give it a try! Cookies with an Accent is located at 16710 Old Statesville Rd in Huntersville, NC. (Right near the intersection of 115 and 73) and their hours are 2pm-10pm Thursday-Sunday.
This time around, I ordered the Chocolate Chunk cookie with Milky Chocolate ice cream! The cookie is perfectly cooked with a crispy edge with a soft, chewy middle. When it comes to the ice cream, I just can’t get enough of it! It’s so delicious and has fantastic flavor. This is one dessert that you just want to take your time and enjoy the homemade goodness!
This other cookie is their Chewy Sugar with Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream! Now if you don’t want an ice cream sandwich, that’s ok! You can get just ice cream if you want! Or you can purchase some of their cookies too!
