Joe Fish Casual Seafood

Think it’s hard to find New England style seafood in North Carolina? Look no further because Joe Fish Casual Seafood in Mooresville has you covered!

Being originally from Connecticut and have had seafood all over the northeast, I know what to expect when it comes to a classic New England seafood restaurant. Not going to lie, it threw me off seeing a seafood restaurant in a plaza three and a half hours away from the ocean. But, once you step inside, it gives you that classic New England feeling with the oak wood trim, blue paint, and other ocean-related decorations.

Everything on the menu always looks so delicious, and I still have a hard time deciding what to pick! This past time I went with my family, so we started off with the appetizer trio, which I suggest if you have 3-4+ people. It consists of onion rings, fried calamari, and shrimp cocktail. I absolutely loved the onion rings! They were perfectly cooked, thick rings with just the right amount of coating.

Joe Fish Charleston

When it came to dinner, I ordered the Charleston. It consists of grilled blackened shrimp skewer, crabcake, lobster mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. The lobster mashed potatoes were delicious, especially with the lobster gravy! They have another version called the Rockport which instead of the Shrimp you can get a Lobster Tail.

Joe Fish Tuscan Pasta

Another fantastic dinner item is the Tuscan Pasta. The Tuscan Pasta features Sea Scallops and Shrimp sauteed in a sun-dried tomato basil cream sauce over fresh egg noodles! I ended up having some bites of that, and I was blown away by the flavor. The Scallops were very tender, and I loved the freshness of the egg noodles as well.

Lastly, one other entree I want to talk about is Joe’s Petite Sirloin. It comes with a 6oz center-cut sirloin, onion rings, mixed vegetables, and the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had! These mashed potatoes have a perfect blend of garlic, bacon, and gorgonzola cheese. Everyone at the table had to give it a try, and we all liked it!

So if you’re looking for that classic New England Seafood restaurant, Joe Fish Casual Seafood is the place to go. I promise you will not be disappointed!
