About Cornelius
Cornelius is a lakeside town located along the east side of Lake Norman and North of Charlotte. Cornelius was established in 1905, originating as a cotton mill and farm community. Upon the creation of Lake Norman in 1963, Cornelius offers approximately 54 miles of shoreline with two large parks on Lake Norman. You have Jetton Park and Ramsey Creek Park. Walking through the downtown, you will find plenty of shopping opportunities from locally owned gift and antique shops to various consignment stores.
