Home to over 2,500 residents, Troutman offers fun outdoor activities such as Zootastic Park and lively entertainment to residents and visitors alike. Troutman is also home to the Iredell County Fairground which hosts the Iredell County Fair each Labor Day weekend. One of Troutman's most famous attractions is the Lake Norman State Park. For those who don't live on the water, this is the ideal place to get the full lake experience. There are fishing and boating, plus hiking, bike trails, campgrounds, and picnic areas.

Zootastic Park is an interactive, educational zoo located in Troutman, NC. They are open 365 days a year (weather permitting). They are open to the public, as well as to school groups, church groups, etc.
