Make a trip to one of the farms to pick out the perfect pumpkin, go on a hayride, navigate a corn maze, enjoy petting zoos, and more.
Some locations let you pick pumpkins straight from the vine or may have a selection already picked for faster picking. Check websites for more information on fees and activities. Make sure you bring cash as not all farms accept credit cards.
Huntersville
Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze
Hayrides, corn hole, pumpkin picking in October, and a 7-acre corn maze.

Day Maze: Sept. 22-Nov. 4: Fri.-Sun., 10am-5pm.

Mooresville
Carrigan Farms Pumpkin Patch Tour
Hayrides, a petting zoo, fresh apple cider, and pumpkin picking.
Location: 1261 Oak Ridge Farm Highway, Mooresville | 704-664-1450
Cost: $11 per person for a hayride to the pumpkin patch and a pumpkin, a visit to the petting zoo and fresh apple cider. Cash or check only!
Hours: Sept. 29-Oct. 31. Hayrides to the pumpkin patch are offered Sat.-Sun. from 10am-4pm with wagons departing every 15 minutes. Weekday pumpkin patch hayrides depart Tues.-Thurs. at 2, 3 and 4pm.
Lazy 5 Ranch Fall Festival
Pumpkin slingshot and painting, marshmallow roasting on Saturdays and Sundays, straw castle, corn box, corn hole plus a pumpkin patch.
Location: 15100 Mooresville Road, Mooresville | 704-663-5100
Cost: $8-$11. Cash only; no pets. $1 for pumpkin slingshot. Wagon rides cost $3-$5 dollars extra and require a reservation.
Hours: Sept. 29-Oct. 28: Monday-Saturday, 9am until one hour before sunset; Sunday, noon until one hour before sunset. Some activities are only available on Saturday and Sunday.
Patterson Farm
Pumpkin patch tour, corn maze, puppet show, and more.

Cost: $9-$21. Purchase tickets online.
Hours: Sept. 17-Sept. 30: 10am-6pm. Oct. 1-31, Mondays-Fridays 2-6pm. Do not miss the 1pm puppet show or hayrides, which depart at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30pm. A Special Pumpkin Patch event for those with special needs takes place on Sept. 23.
